Warner Bros Games to Focus on 4 Series

Warner Bros Games announced that they will focus on 4 major franchises with major management changes. These 4 main brands include Mortal Kombat, Harry Potter, DC and Game of Thrones.

Variety‘s news reports that the leaders of three different studios have been appointed as senior presidents. The new senior presidents are Shaun Himmerick of NetherRealm, Steven Flenory of Warner Bros Games New York and Yves Lachance of Warner Bros Games Montreal.

This internal reorganisation did not result in layoffs outside of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's studio, Rocksteady. But if you recall, Monolith, Player First Games and Warner Bros Games San Diego were closed due to a "strategic change"

Similarly, a planned large-scale DLC for Hogwarts Legacy cancelled, beloved fighting game MultiVersus closed and it was confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1's new content would no longer be coming.

With the recent cancellation of Wonder Woman game, loss and game revenues down 29% down Warner Bros Games is not going through the best of times. Let's see if these new decisions will be enough to save the company.
