Stellar Blade 2 Officially Confirmed

The sequel to Stellar Blade, one of the biggest games of 2024, has been a topic of discussion for a long time. Although we've all heard the rumors, we now have an official statement: Stellar Blade 2 is currently in development at Shift Up.

The development of the second game in the series was confirmed during a financial meeting. The statements regarding this topic in the financial report were summarized as follows:

We are actively pursuing the franchise development of the Stellar Blade IP and are currently developing the sequel. The new game will inherit the action-packed nature of the original Stellar Blade while incorporating an expanded worldview and enhanced gameplay features, further solidifying its position as a franchise IP. We anticipate that this will lead to even greater success than the original game.”

In previous statements, it was mentioned that the second game was planned to be released in 2026, but no new announcement has followed. However, if the game has just started its development phase, a release next year seems unlikely.

Stellar Blade achieved great success, especially after its release on PC, reaching one million sales 19 times faster on PC than it did on PlayStation 5.
