Slay the Spire 2 Has Been Delayed
Slay the Spire 2, expected to be released in 2025, has been delayed. Here is the new date and details!

Slay the Spire 2, the sequel to Slay the Spire, one of the leading games in the roguelike deck-building genre, has been delayed. Developer Mega Crit announced that the new release window for the game, which they had previously planned to launch in early access in the fall of 2025, is now March 2026.
Although an exact date has not been shared, it was announced that the game will be released on a Thursday. This points to the following dates in March 2026: March 5, 12, 19, or 26, 2026.

Slay the Spire 2 Delayed to 2026
Mega Crit announced the delay via Steam with the following statement:
“We know this isn't the news anyone wanted to hear. There's no big reason, just some personal developments within the team (everyone is fine!), we kept adding new ideas by constantly saying 'Wouldn't it be great if?', and honestly, the game needs more polish to meet our standards.”
The studio also humorously noted in its Frequently Asked Questions section that the delay is not because of Hollow Knight: Silksong:
“We had set our new release window before Silksong was announced. It's just a coincidence. But at least you'll be able to play Silksong while you wait!”
While Slay the Spire 2 resembles the first game, it incorporates significant new features in the details. The game will add 3D models blended with 2D environments and different variations of each act to increase replayability. The team also stated that they will not go silent and will continue to keep players informed with updates about the game.
