Prime Video Announces Life Is Strange Series
Prime Video’s Life Is Strange series is on the way!

Prime Video has announced that work has begun on the Life Is Strange series. According to the announcement, Charlie Covell, who previously wrote Kaos and The End of the F***ing World for Netflix, will take on the roles of writer, executive producer, and showrunner for this new series. Publisher Square Enix, along with Story Kitchen, LuckyChap, and Amazon MGM Studios, will also be involved in the production of the series.
About the Life Is Strange Series

Life Is Strange, which tells the story of Max who discovers she has the ability to rewind time and embarks on a journey to save her childhood friend Chloe, was previously planned to be adapted for the screen by Legendary Television. It appears that Square Enix's final decision was to make a deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
Square Enix presidents Jon Brooke and Lee Singleton said the following about the project:
“For years, many people have been asking us to make a Life Is Strange TV series, and we are finally very happy to partner with Amazon MGM Studios, who we trust will do an incredible job of bringing our universe to life.”
We think that Charlie Covell, who received great acclaim for The End of the F***ing World, can do a great job with a similar formula in this series as well. Moreover, Covell has actually played the games, which is enough to raise our hopes.
Covell had this to say about the Life Is Strange series:
“It's a great honor to be adapting Life Is Strange for Amazon MGM Studios. I'm a huge fan of the game and I'm excited to be working with the incredible teams at Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap. I can't wait to share Max and Chloe's story with both fellow players and new viewers.”
Prime Video recently announced that the Tomb Raider series, starring Sophie Turner and to be written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will also soon enter production. Meanwhile, the platform is preparing to present the second season of its record-breaking Fallout series to viewers in December. The highly anticipated God of War series still remains a mystery, but filming is planned to begin in 2026 or later.
A firm release date has not yet been announced for the Life Is Strange series.
