Metal Slug Developer Team's New Game On The Way
Navinosuke: The Yo-Kia-Buster, the cancelled game from the developers of the legendary Metal Slug series, will be released in 2026.

The last cancelled game of the developer team behind the Metal Slug series will finally meet players after 20 years. Navinosuke: The Yo-Kai Buster, which was cancelled while in development for Game Boy Advance, will be available on Nintendo Switch in 2026.
Kohachi Studio, the independent studio behind the legendary Metal Slug and R-Type series, has announced that the game will finally see the light of day. According to studio director Shinano Ishiguro, it is a pixel game that was completed 20 years ago but never published.
Ishiguro made the following statement on social media:
"Over the past few years, I've consulted with almost everyone I've met in the industry, and I've come close to giving up many times, but I finally managed to lift the seal."
