Marvel Rivals Reaches 20 Million Players
Marvel Rivals has reached 20 million players in less than two weeks.
Marvel Rivals continues to grow its player base without slowing down since its release on 6 December 2024. The game, which we learnt last week that it reached 10 million players within 72 hours, passed 20 million players at the end of 12 days. Developer and publisher studio NetEase distributed a free spray as a thank you, but has yet to reveal how many players are on which platform. With an art style that stays true to the comics and characters that are extremely dynamic, Marvel Rivals looks like it's going to double that number.
Marvel Rivals Launches Winter Event on 20 December
Marvel Rivals, like most online games, is launching a winter event on 20 December. Running from 20 December to 10 January, players will be able to obtain a Galacta spray celebrating 20 million people just by logging into the game. The winter event, which kicks off with an update coming Friday, will introduce a new 4v4 mode and a new skin for Jeff the Land Shark. We think that Jeff, who is quite popular with both his cuteness and his unstable powers, will regularly receive new cosmetics.
The winter update is expected to balance heroes such as Hela and The Winter Soldier as well as bug fixes. According to NetEase's statement, the role order system requested by many former Overwatch players is not in the plan for now. Breathing new life into competitive shooters, you can play Marvel Rivals on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and join the growing community.
