The Game Awards 2024, where the best games of this year were awarded, also hosted many announcements. Here is everything announced at the event.
The biggest and most exciting night of the gaming world this year has come to an end in the past hours. At the event, where games such as Half-Life 3 and GTA VI were thought to be announced as a surprise, the first screening of The Witcher 4, which will be the new game of the series, and Elden Ring Nightrein, which will be co-op, was made. We have compiled the games announced and trailers shown at The Game Awards 2024, which gives us hope about the future of the game industry.

The Witcher 4 First Trailer Released
CD Projekt Red has released the first trailer for the long-awaited, open-world action and role-playing game The Witcher 4. The game, in which we will play as Ciri, briefly introduced Ciri's fighting style with a six-minute cinematic. The Witcher 4's release date, which we learnt was pre-rendered with a special version of Unreal Engine 5, is unclear.
Co-op Side Game Announced with Elden Ring Nightreign
FromSoftware, which we expect to be acquired by Sony, has announced independent spin-off game Elden Ring Nightreign. The game, which will be published in cooperation with Bandai Namco, the studio of Tekken 8, will also feature co-op for up to three people. Elden Ring Nightreign will be released in 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Fumito Ueda's New Game Project Robot Announced
Japanese designer Fumito Ueda, previously known for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, presented his project codenamed Project Robot at the event. The trailer, a first look at the project, created mystery by showing a character escaping on a giant robot on a strange planet.
Mafia: The Old Country, Due Summer 2025
Mafia: The Old Country, the new story-driven game in the Mafia series, has confirmed that it will be released in Summer 2025 with the trailer released. The story of the play is set on the island of Sicily in the 1900s and delves into the origins of the Italian mafia.
Onimusha Returns in 2026
Capcom has announced that Onimusha: Way of the Sword, its dark fantasy and sword fighting-focused game, will arrive in 2026. Thus, after a long wait, Onimusha, the beloved series of the genre, will introduce itself to new players.
Borderlands 4's First Trailer Released
Gearbox Software's new addition to the action and role-playing series, Borderlands 4, was presented to the audience with its first trailer. The game series, whose film was also released in the past months, looks like it will increase the dosage of adventure and madness even more with its new trailer.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Announced
Another name that stole our hearts with its Far East theme at The Game Awards 2024 was Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. Ragebound, a side-scrolling 2D game set for release in summer 2025, will feature Kenji Mozu as the main character instead of Ryu Hayabusa.
Slay the Spire 2 Official Gameplay Trailer Released
Slay the Spire II, the roguelike card game announced in April, debuted a gameplay trailer at the beginning of The Game Awards 2024. In the trailer, 2025 was specified for early access to the game.
Multiplayer Thick as Thieves Announced
Warren Spector, designer of Deus Ex and Ultima Underworld, has unveiled an early-stage version of his new game Thick as Thieves. The game, which remains similar to Thief, looks like a more fast-paced game where thieves will also compete among each other.
New Football Game from Sifu's Developer: Rematch
Sifu's developer studio Sloclap's new game Remacth is an online football game. The game, which has similar graphics to Sifu and has a colourful atmosphere, will be played from a third person perspective. There will be no fouls, penalties and off-field rules in the game, which will be played with teams of five players. The full version of the game, which will be released in beta in Spring 2025, will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the summer.
Pac-Man's Shadow Labyrinth Announced
The Secret Level series, which airs on Amazon Prime and features a game in each episode, inspired the Shadow Labyrinth game with the Pac-Man episode. The game, in which you will wander through dark mazes as Pac-Man, is being developed by the makers of the Tekken series and will be released in the new year.
Feybreak Add-on Pack Coming to Palworld
Pokemon-like universe, Palwords introduced its new add-on pack Feybreak at The Game Awards 2024. The pack, which will be released on 23 December 2024, will also include the "biggest, toughest and most mysterious ever" candidate by publisher studio Pocketpair.
Dave the Diver: In the Jungle Coming End of 2025
Dave the Diver, a game full of story and mini-games where we manage our sushi restaurant while exploring the mysteries of the deep ocean, is getting an add-on pack called In the Jungle. The add-on pack, where we will follow Dave in the forests this time, will continue the adventure in late 2025.
Naughty Dog Presents Intergalactic: Presented The Heretic Prophet
One of the most surprising announcements of The Game Awards 2024 was Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: Set in a futuristic universe, Intergalactic is about Jordan, a bounty hunter stranded on a distant planet called Sempiria. Sony, Adidas and Porsche are generously shown in the game, and from what we can see from the trailer, it will be a story-rich action game.
Dispacth Full of Celebrities Introduced
The trailer of Dispatch, the game in which we will be call routing as a former hero in a superhero call centre, has been released. The game, which features stars such as Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Jeffrey Wright in its cast, promises to be a game full of humour with the dialogue options it offers.
Split Fiction Coming From It Takes Two's Studio
Divided Fiction, developed by Hazelight Studios, the studio behind It Takes Two, is about two female writers who are accidentally trapped in universes created by each other. Split Fiction, a puzzle and platformer game that splits the screen in two, takes place in different science fiction scenarios and fantasy universes. This new game, which we can play co-op, will be released on 6 March 2025.
The Outer Worlds 2 Back With A New Trailer
After a brief hiatus, The Outer Worlds 2 is back with a brand new gameplay trailer and release date. The game will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms in 2025.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Coming to PC
Another highlight of The Game Awards 2024 was the official announcement that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered version, which we played on our consoles, is coming to PCs. The Last of Us Part 2, the new member of the games that came to other platforms after being exclusive to PlayStation, is coming to PC on 3 April 2025.
Turok: Origins Announced
Turok: The legendary Turok series returns with Origins. In the game, where you can play co-op with up to four people, you will be able to hunt dinosaurs in third person and copy the DNA of dinosaurs to gain supernatural powers such as lightning.
New Sonic Game Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Coming
Sega introduced Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, the new game in the Sonic series, with a 27-second trailer. We didn't get much information about the game from the short trailer, but the game will be released soon for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Virtua Figher Series Returns
Sega has officially confirmed the return of the Virtua Fighter series with this new trailer. More information about the game will be revealed at a special event today (Friday 13 December).
Yakuza: Like a Dragon's Developer Announces Project Century
RGG Studio, developer of the Yakuza: Like a Dragon series, has announced its new action game Project Century. The game, which has a similar gameplay style to the Yakuza series, is set in 1915 and looks like it will have relatively more bloody scenes.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Coming to PC in January 2025
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which won Best Music at The Game Awards 2024, has officially announced that it will be coming to PC on 23 January 2025. We think that the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be more preferred than the PS5 version because it has mod support and will be released earlier.
Clive Rosfield Joins Tekken 8
Clive Rosefield, who we know from Final Fantasy XVI, will join Tekken 8 fighters later this month. The Tekken 8 universe, which continues to expand, will add Clive to the Year 1 Character Parade.
Okami 2 Introduced
The final announcement of The Game Awards 2024 was Okami 2, which will be developed by Capcom and the new studio of Hideki Kamiya, the designer of the first game. The promotional video, accompanied by a live orchestra, showed some of the artistic and renewed features of the game. We are eagerly waiting for the game, which has been 16 years since the first game.
