Dead Island 3 has long been eagerly awaited by fans of the series. While an official announcement about the game has yet to be made, the first teaser for the new installment has been released by official sources!
In a Steam announcement celebrating the 14th anniversary of the Dead Island series, developer Dambuster Studios revealed that Dead Island 2 has reached a total of 20 million players. The first-person survival action game, released in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, achieved this milestone in approximately two and a half years.
The studio continued the announcement with the sentence, 'But this is not the end. Dambuster Studios is already designing the next installment. For now, the details are secret, the outbreak is not over yet...', implicitly confirming that the series will continue.

In the first promotional image released, we see the character Jacob, familiar from Dead Island 2, hitchhiking. Jacob's attempt to leave Los Angeles suggests that the new game in the series will be set in a different city. We also predict that Jacob, who was also featured on the poster for the second game, will be a key character in this installment.
A specific release date for Dead Island 3 has not yet been announced. However, developer Dambuster Studios may make a new announcement in the coming weeks.
