Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault Mode Introduced

Last February, State of Play 2025 hosted many new game announcements. One of these games was Days Gone Remastered, which was announced to be released on 25 April 2025. Developed for PlayStation 5, the game's new mode Horde Assault was introduced in a trailer.

About Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault Mode

The PlayStation Blog‘Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault mode will add an additional 10 hours to the original gameplay. With this new game mode, players will fight against increasingly powerful zombie hordes consisting of Reacher, Breaker and Rager zombies. The aim of Horde Assault mode is to survive as long as possible and get a high score.

Horde Assault will begin in Cascade, starting players with only one weapon. As you defeat waves of zombies, you'll be able to obtain the Drifter motorbike and continue to power up with the boxes you find by exploring the map. The mode will also feature Side Quests that you can complete to earn extra resources and XP. By completing missions with a 35-level reward tree, you will be able to collect various cosmetics and playable characters, including O’Brian, Lisa and Skizzo.

With the Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault mode, more than 20 different weapons such as flamethrowers will be added to the game. In addition, there will be 24 different settings under the name Injectors in the mode. These “injectors” which allow zombies to explode when they die and you can change the difficulty settings from the hardest to the easiest, will add new challenges to the game.

Days Gone Remastered will bring revamped graphics and Horde Assault to PS5 players on 25 April 2025. Although there is no announcement for PC players yet, Broken Road DLC is on the way for both platforms on the same day. There is no definite information about whether the developer studio Bend Studios is working on Days Gone 2.
