Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster Release Date Announced

For those who miss the old generation platform games: Croc: The remaster version of Legend of the Gobbos finally has a firm release date. The highly anticipated game will be released on 2 April 2025 for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.

The nostalgic production returns with a revamped version from original developer Argonaut. Although the company closed 20 years ago, it re-launched last year. The team rolled up their sleeves to bring this platformer adventure up to today's standards.

Croc: About Legend of the Gobbos

For those who don't remember or haven't experienced it yet, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was a classic 3D platformer in which a cute crocodile tries to save his friends in Gobbo Valley from the evil wizard Baron Dante. Although the game did not become one of the biggest hits of its genre, it managed to gain a loyal player base.

The new version promises a much smoother gameplay with improved graphics, modern control and camera system. The original levels of the game have been completely remastered. However, the development team did not stop at graphic updates when making this remaster version.

The remaster also includes a digital museum called Crocipedia. It includes design documents, concept art, animation tests, early versions of the original soundtrack, and interviews with developers old and new.

If nostalgia has caught your fancy, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster will be available digitally on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (GOG) as of 2 April. The price of the game is $29.99.
