Claim: Ubisoft in Talks with Microsoft and EA to Sell Ubisoft Games
According to allegations, Ubisoft has been in secret secret talks with major companies such as Microsoft and EA about selling their IPs.

One of Ubisoft's minority shareholders has begun organising a protest outside Ubisoft's headquarters in Paris, claiming that the company is in secret talks with major companies such as Microsoft and EA to sell some of its game franchises.
AJ Investments CEO Juraj Krúpa in a statement to IGN, the company “that it has been "egregiously mismanaged by current management" and must present a clear recovery plan addressing "declining shareholder value, poor operational practices and failure to adapt to market trends".

Ubisoft Holding Secret Talks
Krúpa claimed that the company was not transparent in its decision-making processes, particularly its DLC partnership with Saudi investment fund Savvy Group for Assassin's Creed Mirage and its IP sales negotiations with companies such as Microsoft and EA.
Ubisoft told IGN that the company is currently “reviewing various strategic and financial options” and that this process is being conducted by an independent committee. The company announced that “when a deal is realised, information will be provided in accordance with market rules”.

September 2024, the game was postponed once more and finally shifted to 20 March 2025.
These postponements caused a significant drop in the share values of the famous game developer. According to Krúpa, this put individual investors in a difficult position, while institutional investors such as Credit Agricole, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley profited by buying at low prices.
It is still unclear whether Ubisoft will actually make a deal to sell its famous game series such as Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. Because an official statement has not yet come from the company. However, the developments show that the company is going through a difficult period financially and may make major changes.
