Bungie Introduces Marathon
Bungie's new FPS shooter Marathon will be released on 23 September 2025.
Destiny 2's developer Bungie presented its new first-person multiplayer shooter Marathon last Saturday evening. The closed Alpha testing of the game, which will be released on 23 September 2025, starts on Wednesday 23 April.
Sony subsidiary Bungie's new game Marathon combines the shooter genre with a futuristic world. As we have included below, the game was introduced with long trailers, let's take a look together!
About Marathon
According to the trailer, Marathon takes place on a mysterious and brutal world called Tau Ceti IV. Our characters, Runners, appear as cybernetic mercenaries who have given up their human form to have unique abilities. In the game with tactical and fast-paced battles, matches up to 18 people will be organised and each team will consist of 3 players.
Going back to Tau Ceti IV, where the game takes place, we have to take a look at the trailer similar to Love, Death & Robots above. Written and directed by Alberto Mielgo, producer of such acclaimed episodes for the series as Jibaro and The Witness, the trailer reveals that the loot planet we are on is full of various weapons, materials and equipment.
Our goal in Marathon is to prepare our equipment before entering the matches, select our Runner, collect as much loot as we can, and escape alive. If our Runner dies, the loot is scattered on the ground for others to pick up, and if we survive, we can continue to get stronger for future matches.
